Roles & Privileges

Access Control Levels

In EnkiTask, each project team member can be assigned a specific role, determining their privileges and access control levels (ACL). This role-based system ensures that team members can efficiently collaborate while maintaining proper control over task management and project settings. Assigning roles also helps streamline responsibilities and maintain clear boundaries for each team member's involvement in a project.

There are four main roles in EnkiTask:

  • Master

  • Teammate

  • Assignee

  • Guest

The Master role has the highest level of access, allowing full control over the project, including adding or removing members, creating and assigning tasks, and managing project settings.

Teammates have a broader range of permissions than other roles, including access to most tasks and the ability to comment, collaborate, and contribute to project progress.

The Assignee role is designed for users who are responsible only for the tasks assigned to them. They can update their tasks but cannot modify project settings or view tasks not assigned to them.

Finally, Guests have the most limited access, allowing them to view certain tasks or details shared with them, but with no ability to make changes or assignments.
